The project involved restoration of the temple complex of Sant Tukaram at Dehu. Dehu is the birthplace of Sant Tukaram and the temple complex was built in 1723. His ancestral home is still connected to the temple. Most of the buildings are constructed in a combination of Basalt Stone and Wood. Over the years the stone buildings were painted on top with color.
The restoration involved removing the paint to expose the actual stone building and repairing the damaged structure; preserving the old temple architecture.
